Misstie is a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse with extensive experience in all aspects of substance abuse disorders and mental health nursing. Her background includes treating those with substance use disorders through different stages of the recovery process including: detoxification, residential treatment, transitional programming, and medication assisted treatment program. Misstie has also worked in a mental health residential facility and for the past 3 years has been with a specialized, one of its kind Crisis Stabilization Unit that lies within the emergency department helping to stabilize and facilitate treatment for those who present in mental health and substance use crises.
Misstie’s own life experiences have led to her desire to help others. She is very passionate about educating our youth in substance abuse prevention and dedicated in assisting to combat the opioid epidemic. She is an active supporter and advocate for Heath Care Professionals who seek help for addiction and currently serves on the Iowa Nurse Assistance Committee that facilitates this care.
Misstie loves spending time outdoors hiking and boating with her husband, grandchildren and sweet fur buddy Charlie. The Ranch is the perfect place for Misstie to utilize her gifts and love for nature’s serenity and beauty while also supporting each individual’s physical and mental journey during treatment.
