Residential treatment at Top of the World Ranch puts you on 315 private acres with a full clinical team and structured programming. Partial Hospitalization (PHP) is also available and can include a residential stay; this is an option that may carry an additional cost. The two levels of care are not identical – ask our admissions team which is the right fit for you.

Residential and PHP treatment is designed for adults who need a higher level of support to build a strong foundation for recovery. Whether this is your first time seeking treatment or you have participated in treatment before, this level of care provides the structure, accountability, and clinical support needed to focus fully on healing.

What Happens Here Every Day

EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy are part of our residential and PHP programs and are available to every client. We introduce them when they are clinically appropriate for the individual, not as a forced first-day requirement.

Programming includes individual therapy, group therapy, psychoeducational groups, process groups, and experiential programming across the 315-acre property. Each day is intentionally different, giving clients a broad range of therapeutic experiences rather than a fixed, repetitive schedule.

Every client lives in a private room with a private bathroom. Meals are prepared on-site. The gym, steam room, and sauna are available as part of the daily structure. The environment is intentional at every level because recovery happens in the details of daily life, not just in the therapy room.

EMDR & ART

EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy are available to every client as part of our program, introduced when they are clinically appropriate for the individual.

Individual & Group Therapy

Daily individual sessions, process groups, and psychoeducational groups led by licensed clinicians who specialize in trauma and addiction.

Holistic Programming

Yoga, qigong, meditation, sound therapy, and Native American ceremonies run alongside the clinical schedule — not as add-ons.

Private Room. Private Bath.

Every client lives in a private room with a private bathroom. Meals prepared on-site. Gym, steam room, and sauna available daily.

Two Hour Individual Therapy Sessions

Every client in the residential and PHP program receives two hours of individual therapy per week with their assigned counselor. This is above the standard for residential care and reflects the belief that real clinical progress requires sustained one-on-one attention, not group programming alone.

The Difference Between Residential and PHP

Residential

Live On-Site, Full Time

Residential clients live on-site full time with 24-hour support and full clinical immersion. Every meal, every group, every quiet moment between sessions happens inside the structure of the program.

Partial Hospitalization

Full Days. Flexible Boarding.

Partial Hospitalization clients participate in the full daily programming schedule and can arrange on-site boarding, giving them access to the same environment and structure as residential clients while maintaining a slightly different clinical designation.

Both tracks receive the same level of clinical programming, the same trauma-focused treatment, and the same access to the facility and land. Your placement in one or the other is determined by your clinical assessment and what your treatment team determines is the right fit.

What Happens After You Leave the Ranch

Discharge from residential treatment is not the end of the program. It is a transition point that requires as much clinical attention as the first day of care. The majority of relapses happen in the weeks immediately following residential treatment, when clients move from a structured, supported environment back into the conditions that surrounded the original addiction.

Top of the World Ranch builds aftercare into the treatment plan from day one. That means a step-down path, connection to the appropriate level of care on the other end, and programming that does not treat discharge as a conclusion. For clients transitioning out of residential or PHP, our Intensive Outpatient Program and Virtual IOP provide continued structure and clinical support while they rebuild life outside the facility.

Individualized aftercare planning is a standard component of every residential program at Top of the World Ranch. Your team will work with you on what comes next before you leave.

Top of the World Ranch is in-network with most major insurance carriers. Residential and PHP are covered benefit levels under most commercial plans. Call us and we will verify your specific coverage before you make any decision. There is no cost to the verification and no obligation to move forward.
